In 2021 the motto of the Craft Spirits Berlin Awards was: “ HANDMADE SPIRITS, regionally anchored, sustainably produced, made from natural ingredients, spirits with spirit ”.
A total of 471 products from 25 countries were submitted. This time, the jury meeting was decentralized: 21 experts in Germany, Austria, France, Hungary, Denmark, Great Britain and Switzerland received the samples in numbered, unlabelled bottles, and the evaluation was carried out via a digital platform. Gin Luum was there again and scored 82.5 points Bronze win !
The evaluation was based on the 100-point scheme. The criteria tested were:
Appearance : clarity/color expression (maximum 5 points)
Odor : purity (7 points), typicality (5 points), aroma/alcohol balance (14 points)
Flavor : purity (8 points), typicality (5 points), aroma/alcohol balance (16 points)
Overall impression : (40 points)
